Building Strategic Action Planning Competencies

Plans that work are chartered and overseen by senior leaders, and developed with the input of multiple functional areas, including IT, Marketing, HR, Operations, Legal, etc. They have SMART goals, identify accountable personnel, and are adequately resourced. Progress and results are analyzed regularly by senior leaders to make sure actions are effective, progress is on track and issues are addressed early. The plan is considered a living document with a process for changing the plan when necessary.

CultureBrokers is excited to feature Irena Guidikova as our morning keynote speaker to share what she has learned about leadership and governance for equity from her work with business, nonprofit and government leaders from more than 120 cities. Irena is Head of Cultural Policy, Diversity and Intercultural Dialogue Division, Directorate of Culture and Cultural and Natural Heritage, Council of Europe. She launched the international Intercultural Cities program, which grew from 10 European cities in 2008 to a results-based network of more than 120 global cities today.
